Arrowhead Marsh Alameda/Oakland

While at Arrowhead Marsh I was treated to an early morning show, a very playful Snowy Egret fished, posed and preened inches away.

A spirited Western Grebe also played close to the shore.
Brown Pelicans and Cormorants took a break from feeding in the early morning sun.

Today was also my first time sighting this cutie pie the Black Turnstone which reminded me of a plump newborn human baby.
While on my way home I observed an American Crow with a mouthful of seafood.
